Hello Mary- Ellen!
I love the video you posted, the Gummy Bear song used to be my favorite! Anyways, I have heard of vegemite before, and I have gotten mixed reviews. How is it in your opinion? Appareantly it is yeast, which doesn’t sound too good to me.
By the way, my name is Lola and I live in California.

Claire,
First of all, I absolutely love your blog! Your font and header image are amazing! Quick question, what is a bush tucker? Out here in California we have nothing of the sort. It sounds new and inventive to me, but it may just be the usual over there. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Dear Neha,
My name is Lola and I live in California. Your story is so amazing! Your Gulab Jamaan sounds absolutely wonderful and I would love to try it some day. You said that your desserts are mostly sweet. Well, are there any spicy desserts? If so, what are they?

Hello Huzzahians,
I enjoy how your blog is one where it is shared with the whole class. I’ve been to Canada one time, and when I was here I went to Montreal and Victoria, and might I say, they had the best ice cream I have ever had. What exactly is poutine? I’ve seen it in videos online, but all I know is it contains cheese curds, if I am right.
Thank you,
Lola from California

Favorite Family Memory

IMG_5583

By far, my favorite memory with my family is when we went to Spain. It was an amazing experience that my family will never forget. My parents don’t want me posting a photo of them so enjoy this photo of the wonderful location instead! Once there, we took part in an extremely long hike that ended in this fantastic photo. I hope we will all get a chance to visit Spain again, as it was terrific.

A Deceased Star

One of my favorite stars, John Lennon, passed aways several years ago. He was a peace activist and wrote and sang in the Beatles. He was truly a talent and had a knack for lyrics. They were deep and meaningful and would bring people to tears. He wrote about world issues in his lyrics and somehow managed to keep it catchy. It is truly depressing he has left the world since he was such an amazing spirit.

Parent Questionaire

I am questioning my dad about his parents.

Lola: What are your parents names?

My Dad: Bob and Brenda.

Lola: When were they born?

My Dad: 1943 and 1945.

Lola: How did they meet?

My Dad: They met through a college seminar.

Lola: How many years have they been together?

My Dad: Fifty three.

Lola: What is their favorite type of food?

My Dad: Italian food.

Lola: Did they have ay siblings growing up?

My Dad: Yes. My mom had 12  brothers and sisters and my dad had one brother.

Lola: How tall are they?

My Dad: My dad is 6’3 and my mom is 5’0.

Lola: Were they born in the U.S?

My Dad: Yes.

Lola: What is their occupation?

My Dad: They own a bed and breakfast.

Lola: Finally, how did they shape you  into the person you are today?

My Dad: They taught me to work hard and be independent in life.

At the time my grandparents were growing up, the Cold War was going on.

Christmas Countdown Widget

There are several amazing widgets that can be used on Edublogs. However, I found the Christmas countdown to be the best, considering I am a huge Christmas fanatic. Everything about Christmas is magical to me. The spirit in the air, the wonderful feelings, and all of the decorations. As soon as Halloween ends there I am listening to “Silver Bells.” Speaking of which, Christmas music is my favorite! I wonder if it is possible to play Christmas music as soon as someone enters my blog. Perhaps this will be a sneak peak into my next widget!

Using Images

Using images on my blog enhances the reader’s enjoyment. It also provides a visual aid for what I am writing. it is far more interesting to look at a unique photo than to sit and wonder what it might look like. For example, when I described Spain it was a better decision to include an image rather than leave it to the reader’s imagination since they might not even know what Spain looks like! Including images are all up to the author, but it personally is an improvement for the blog.

This photo, to me, is terrific. Not only did I take this, but I lived this. In Spain, there was a huge flower market, and it smelled amazing. I wish I could capture the breath-taking scents that wandered around through the town. It was so vibrant and colorful throughout the city and every flower caught someone’s attention, whether it meant to or not. Flowers are so optimistic and peaceful, as I want my blog to be. I wish fro my blog to be optimistic and focus on the good things in life rather than the foul. Perhaps I will post an abundance of flower photos, or maybe a positivity quote each day. Either way, these flowers have inspired me to turn my blog into something I will love.

Week 4 Activity 1

For my background, I used a gif from the website FG.A.Com. It was of a ghost, pumpkins, and lightning. I additionally used an image of a Border Collie in front of autumn leaves since Halloween is in the fall. I got this image from Pixabay.com. I loved these images because they capture the essence of fall and Halloween in my opinion.

Week 4 Activity 2

Autumn breezes come

The leaves fall on your cold face

Winds are whisperingghost-lightning-pumpkins

The dark night comes soon

Spirits and ghouls will meet up

All will be spooky

Then a light flashes

A haunting scream chills your spine

A cackle soon starts

The night is ending halloween-150363_640

The lights dim in every house

But you are nervous

Feeling so alone

But you are assured you’re not

A black cat walks past

The lights soon go out

You fall asleep as they go

Haunted Halloween

Week 4 Activity 3

In the United States, Halloween is celebrated by children dressing up as their favorite characters or people and going house to house to gather candy. They carry around a bag and at the end of the night they count their candy and trade with friends. When I was little, my friend had a magical friend called Halloween Henry. Every Halloween Henry would get half of her candy and would in return give her a toy. This was jut an idea, but trick-or-treating is mostly the only way people celebrate Halloween besides dressing in costumes.
