Successful Commenting

In order to comment successfully, always proofread your comment. No one should ever be giving away personal information and should not be commenting meaningless things as well. Possibly a compliment would be the appropriate way to start off  a comment, to make small talk and show the writer you can relate. Next, one person should add extra information as to  help the writer out or just make a connection. This leads into the next trick, making connections. A commenter should make a connection to further understand the article and gain interest. Finally, the post should end with a question. A comment should ask the writer about their post, or possibly how they could changge it.

Comment on I’m New Here

We were told to comment on the I’m New Here blog page and a student’s blog. Here is my comment;

In my opinion, the most important tip is to proofread before one person comments. If no one proofread their comments, the internet would be full of uninteresting and confusing comments. Charlie, I very much enjoyed your post. I thought it was hilarious how you said to replace his water with vinegar! However, do you think it is better to prank him or scare him? Perhaps scaring is too much for a little boy?

Poem About Me

Lola is athletic and shy

When Lola was little she was quite sly.

She always wanted the power to fly.

Once she learned to ride a bike,

she would quickly zoom by.

Lola has two wonderful dogs

She has never once liked frogs.

In fact, she believed they were disgusting

And she likes to fill her stomach until it’s busting.

She wishes to be a radiologist when older

Never once had a chip on her shoulder.

Lola’s favorite show is Parks and Recreation

When she watches she gets a wonderful sensation.

Track is her hobby, she loves it wildly

When she runs she always ends smiling.

Online vs. Offline Personality

           Online vs. Offline Personality

Online, I possess a lot more courage than offline. Lola online can correctly use words and come up with intelligent responses while Lola offline takes a while to comment or speak. However, I am much more sincere offline, since I have better connections with my family and friends offline. My personality completely changes based on if I am logged onto the internet. Once my fingers hit the keyboard, I feel liberated. Yet, I feel somewhat disappointed that I can not express my self as easily offline. Perhaps it is the fact no one can see me typing this, or that I do not feel pressured to respond quickly. Online, I feel completely free but alone. Offline I feel confused yet surrounded by the people I enjoy. My personality differs, yet my thoughts remain the same.
